Douglas Groene has tutored and taught test preparation (including SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, and GMAT) through The Princeton Review, Kaplan, Long Island Test Prep, and privately for a total of over ten years. Douglas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, and later a second Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He graduated summa cum laude. Douglas earned his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center. He graduated cum laude, finishing in the top third of his class, and earned Dean’s List honors from 1996-1999. Douglas was a member of the American Criminal Law Review and co-authored an article entitled “Computer Crimes” in the 1998 American Criminal Law Review: Thirteenth Survey of White Collar Crime.

Douglas has served as an associate with several prestigious law firms and organizations, including Kronish, Lieb, Weiner & Hellman, Lexis-Nexis, and Lawfinders, Inc. Douglas served as Managing U.S. Attorney with Legalease Solutions and represented clients in divorce litigation with the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence. At the Coalition, he served as a social media specialist; he created and maintained the Nassau County Coalition against Domestic Violence Facebook fan page.

Douglas also volunteers as a mediator in the New York court system.
